History in the making! – Goodbye 2006

We have come to the end of 2006. Another moment of History in the making. A lot of incidents happen – around the world or around your town or at your doorstep or even at your house. Amazingly, we have kept ourselves busy all the days(haven’t we?). Consider for example, I, being a college student, travel around 80 km a day, sit in classes for around 7 hours. If this is the case of a single day, consider the same for 200+ days(now I am not actor Vijayakanth to bring in accurate details :p). This is the case only for a student. Consider the case of employees, employers, engineers, doctors, farmers,etc.

Yes, the power of a human being is amazing. He invented fire. He then brought light out of fire. He discovered electricity. He then brought light in to this world in the form of electric bulbs. Several changes can be seen every year. Technology is improving. But there is one thing that man never changed during his entire life. That thing is in everyone’s heart – that is Love. Earth has existed for around 4.5 billion years(thanks to my friend Inchara ) and we don’t know when man invented love. Maybe love existed since man evolved.

Yes, we can predict how long the earth may exist, how long the sun may live, how long this universe may live. But let the earth die or let it be the sun or let it be the universe, but love never dies until life exists. (Am I talking film dialogues here? :p). Let us continue our love towards people for the years to come. Love is the strength to humanity and peace.

There were several incidents that happened during the year 2006. I am not the guy who takes notes of whatever happened in the world each day. But someone else did. Thanks to Wikipedia! Check out the Events of 2006

Now lets see what you can do for the New Year Eve. Have you planned anything?

1. Sleep nicely! (Who cares if it is a New Year Eve, its a normal day to me, all I need is good rest).

2.Watch T.V(Now this is for the guys who likes sitting in the couch watching their favourite movies or shows. Sounds like fun,eh?)

3. Party at home (Well, should I say more? What you need – stuffs for the party and crackers(10000 waala) if you want to scare your neighbours)

4.Night pubs and clubs (This definitely sounds fun for some people. Dancing throughout the night is absolutely fun,right? But all you need is a lot of cash).

5. Beach (This mite be the crowdest place on a New Year Eve, absolutely free, whats better than enjoying the sea breeze at night).

6. A pleasant ride (This is what almost everyone does – going out at night in bikes and cars. ECR is a place where you can see enjoy such rides)

7. Religious places (Not to forget temples or churches, where you can have total peace if you are ready for some mass speech or if you want to start the year with a prayer to God)

8. Coffee pubs and Ice-cream parlours (Well, this is my favourite, coffee lovers definitely prefer this. Whats better in starting the year with sweet, cold and delicious ice-cream sundaes?)

Enjoy the best way you can! But enjoy safely. Don’t get into trouble. Don’t drink and drive. Don’t harm others.

Proud to be a Tamizh…

This is a video I watched several months back and I thought to share it with you all. As per the video, the word ‘Tamil’(also written as ‘Tamizh’) has been recorded as the most searched word in Google. I am indeed proud of this.
Now this guy who presented this video is funny. His goofy work overrides his ignorance of Tamizh. Although the video doesn’t really show what is Tamizh, let us do what that guy said in the video, “Wikipedia….. help me”. Check out Tamizh at Wikipedia.
Now to speak for myself about Tamizh, Tamizh is one of the oldest languages known to mankind. Its origin is not yet known. Tamizh literature is considered as one of the treasures of Literary field. Tamizh is the official language of Tamil Nadu. It is the second widely spoken Dravidian language in South India. It is one of the national languages of Singapore and is also widely spoken in Malaysia and Sri Lanka. Tamizh language has been recently classified as a Classic language among very few. Professor Hart of University of California states that Tamizh is one of the greatest classic literatures and traditions of the world. View his comments.

It is not easy for a language to become a classical language. There are
eleven conditions.

Blah Blah Blah! – An Algorithm

“Do not study for the exams for that is not a part of a student’s culture”

Yes, the above may hold good for me. I might make a good author if I were to send all the stories I wrote for the exam to any publishers. All were like “Blah Blah Blah” – non stop nonsense.

I partially differentiated the exams but giving no importance to any. The thought of holidays over-rided the thought of exams. Anna Univ showed no morality in setting the questions. The questions were a Challenger case. The worst part was that some questions exhibited polymorphism.

It was very difficult to compile in the mind and assemble it in the paper. “Questions should be made compulsory”, I thought during the exams as my OR gate didn’t function properly. Its either I wanted to use the AND gate or the NAND gate.

Thank God, the 2-marks questions were presorted and there was enough space for the 16 marks, else there would have been a deadlock situation. I tried my best to encapsulate the answers within the space allocated for 2-marks, but alas couldn’t do it sometimes.

My mind was always on the exams-down counter and was not on the books register. All together, I was not in a steady-state flow during the exams. The risk-benefit analysis for the above abstraction would be

Best Case: 70% (Considering the safety, if the examiner took risk in evaluating my paper)

Average Case: (60 – 70)% (If the examiner was a responsible experimenter)

Worst Case: (1 or 2 arrears) (An unethical examiner)

Didn’t understand anything of the above? You wouldn’t if you weren’t a CSE student of Anna Univ and a little if you weren’t an IT student. Sorry if you didn’t understand any of the above (Not that I understood any of the above concepts). It is all a Computer Science story.
