Longing for you – A rap by me

Posted by Kavin on April 22, 2006

One of the seniors asked me to rap on a situation “A boy had a misunderstanding with his gf. He tries to win her back with a rap”. I tried for it. Hope it has come good… Its a freestyle rap.

Hey baby… I can’t believe all what happened is true
But tell you what??? I have already started missing you
All these days without you… I felt so hard going through
Yes… Those harsh words and feelings came out of the blue
I saw my life in you… you can’t just move out of the way
You are my life, please don’t take my breath away!
I forgot what is happiness without seeing your smile
I want you back; I need not bother any mile
I am dehydrated; my body is starting to wear
I am hoping you would come back and replenish it with your tears

I can’t forget about you, there are no words and phrases
I can’t live without you, nor your senses
I miss my vision…. your beautiful and gorgeous eyes
The beauty that I could see in your pearls, they are too nice
Like inseparable lovebirds are your lovely ears
To which I can lay my burden upon without any fear
Do I need to mention your nose that holds my breath?
You are in me in each and every cell you get
The words from your mouth so comforting and lovable,
Kisses from your rosy lips are so insatiable.
The skin that belongs to me alone, where I can feel the warmth
The softness and tenderness that proved to me “love is more than lust”

The streets are dark and so is my life… Am I entering into hell?
No… its because I am not seeing you… you know that very well
I am losing all my attention… leave alone the tension
Since our first meet, you gained my concentration,
No matter what, to win you back is now my mission
Come on baby… throw light into my vision!
I will be waiting for you… waiting for my life
Share it with me, with hugs and kisses
To have you back is my sheer bliss
I need you honey, till my last day
Bring it on baby, love is our own way.

Oh my God!!!

Posted by Kavin on April 17, 2006

Last friday, I went to Tirupathi along with my family. It was an unexpected trip. We were lucky to see the God Himself. It was a great honour ofcourse. But one thing bothered me about the trip. One thing that bothers me always… just one question…. “Why should people pay to see God???”
I am sure even God wouldn’t want people pay to see Him. Ok leave it. Let us consider the whole of Tirupathi. Tirumla temple is considered to be the richest of all the temples in the world. They have made the best use of it. The roads are absoulutely beautiful and security is satisfactory. But when it comes to maintenance and management, it is absolutely unsatisfactory. Unwanted crowd gathering in Tirupathi is all due to the workers themselves. Blocking the crowd here and there lead to a lot of problems like rushing.
But the management alone is not to be blamed. Blame the people who doesn’t have patience!!! I wondered whether people lose their humanity when they are in a hurry. It takes almost two hours to see the God. After waiting for two hours, people were made to see God for only ten seconds. We were pushed out as soon as we went in. But it was a good gift in the end for waiting.

College Day!

Posted by Kavin on April 13, 2006

On 12th April, we had our college day… Expected it to be fun… but turned out to be real boring. Some of the guys(including me) and gals… brought their bags with them in case of any class. Only then much to the horror of some padips students, the classrooms were locked. Even then some students were eager to go to the lab class which was conducted without any mercy(not for our class though). A few students who turned out gathered under the stage were waiting for signs of start. Seeing the anticipation of the students, some film music was played. Only then some decent set of groups joined the stage. Finally the not-well-planned college day started at 10. It was like a trial version to the actual programme in the evening. Suddenly at 1.30, a group meeting was held between the co-ordinators (third years) and they went up on stage and started something on the stage(which later was found out to be decoration). After an hour of waiting, the audience only then came to a conclusion that the morning session ended and the stage got almost empty. A box (what was called as refreshment) was given and then ice-creams were given like they give for refugees.
The second session started at 4:30 and amazingly from nowhere, the stage was almost full. Dept reports and college report was given. Prizes and scholarships were awarded. One boy of our college got a walk in – walk out scholarship which means he can complete his B.E degree absolutely free. Yes he had got a total of 487/500 in his central board school exam. Then the programmes started which were entertaining (a good prize for waiting) and ended up in a good way too. We had a last show of mimicry from our college mimicry expert Ratheesh Prabhu, a final year student. The show ended up as usual – vandhaan, vendraan, senraan (started, enjoyed, sweet dreams).
