Results day out!!!

Posted by Kavin on March 28, 2006

After days and weeks of waiting (actually not me)… the semester results were out. I got a satisfying 78% which I didn’t dream of getting. One says “Don’t trust your friends when it comes to exams…” yes its indeed true… friends who said that they would get an arrear or two ended up getting 85%+. Internals and practicals had played a major part in each student reducing their total. While writing the exam… I thought that sem exams are way different from the school exams… yes it was different… but the correction is absolutely stupid and leniant… thanks to Anna Univ!!!

Chocolates! Yummy!

Posted by Kavin on March 24, 2006

There is no one in this world who hates chocolates. Yes of course there are, but very rare. In a survey, it was proved that chocolates are the most desired food in the world. What makes it most wanted??? Chocolates first originated in South America, when a cook tried the blended cocoa beans with sugarcane juice. From then, chocolates have become the international delicacy. Swiss ranks the no.1 in chocolates for its delicious taste.

There is a reason why chocolates are shared during birthdays and festivals. It has been proved that chocolates excite the brain nerve cells and activate them. Hence while eating chocolates, a man is more active and also feels happy. The most astonishing fact is that chocolates can also be used as an alternate for viagras. Can you believe that???

Though chocolates are yummy, they are usually avoided since they are known to cause cold and tooth decay. But scientists once again has proved that chocolates by no means cause common cold. It has also been proved that the squirrels in South America have very strong teeth, because it eats the remains of the cocoa beans. Hence there is even a plan to introduce chocolates in tooth pastes.

Chocolates are also known to set moods for an occasion. A boy or a girl usually gifts his or her lover with a box of chocolates. A shopper is usually presented with chocolates at the entrance to set him the right mood. Now I think I have set the mood for you to eat chocolates. Go and get them!!!!

Forward March!!!

Posted by Kavin on March 23, 2006

If anyone had come out of the school I studied , he or she would definitely feel escaped from the tiring march past! (of course none would complain about the free classes they get) It is compulsory at our school. The most funny and the wicked rule is that those who attend the march past will get 20+ marks in the quarterly exam overall total. And unfortunately for all, all would attend the march past and hence there wouldn’t be any change. If a guy or a gal refuses to attend march past, he or she would have to meet the principal and get approval which is not an easy thing to get. The school has a ground which is not even as big as a tennis court. Hence the students will be asked to go to a ground about a km away (shockingly, we have to walk). There teachers sitting under the shades will be ordering the students to march well under the hot sun. The patriotism showed by the teachers can be well appreciated when they don’t even care for the students who have fainted. Instead the PT sirs react. They will cure the students by staring at them and the students would rather march than undergoing the treatment. and All this for a useless March Past Shield!
And this march past continued in the college. But thankfully, it was just for one hour and it was not so tiring and we were not forced to repeat it soon. Another shocking news is that most of the students had never marched before in their life. This time I am fortunate enough to have missed the march past

Never Ending – A rap by me

Posted by Kavin on March 15, 2006

This is another rap by me. I dedicate this song to my seniors And this rap is solely intended for fun. No offence intended!

Sing the song in ‘Without Me’ tune by Eminem

*Edited 13th May 2007

Without Me – Emine…

Play the tune and rap along :)

Never Ending

Say it thrice, no real names, no offence

Two junior boys go round the sports block
Round the sports block, round the sports block
Two junior boys go round the sports block
Round the sports block, round the sports block

Guess who’s back
Back again
Neon’s back
Tell a friend
Guess who’s back, guess who’s back, guess who’s back, guess who’s back guess who’s back, guess who’s back, guess who’s back…

I have been quiet, as nobody wants me to rock any more
They want money, I can’t give u more
Well if u want treat, this is what I’ll give ya
A little biriyani along with apple juice, stop ranting
Some disorder that u can get free from the sony canteen
When you get back successfully from the Kelambakkam hospital
By luck and hope, your stomach is operating
But they want more from me, this is devastating
You have had too much, now stop demanding
I want no book nor help, let us stop this trading
I know u have no book for us Mr.Senior
But the treat list u demand is complicating
So the CSE seniors atleast let me be
Or let me be me, let alone ECE
They tried to put me on the SRBC
But they find no scoop to attack me
So, come on with me, bus day on the list,
Throw the cake, some on the boys and some on the gals
And omfg! This senior is getting ready with a pepsi
You have wetted my pant shirt!!! **** YOU DEBBIE!!!

Chorus
Now this looks like a joke for me
So all the freshers just follow me
Have the seniors got a lil bit crazy?
Cause it feels never ending around me
I said this looks like a joke for me
So all the freshers just follow me
Have the seniors got a lil bit crazy?
Cause it feels never ending around me

First they were aliens, freshers seemed vigorous
Confused that their seniors still find the gals vivacious
They start feeling like prisoners helpless
‘till someone calls from the back and yells “FIRST YEARS!!!”
He is weary and the senior is scary
Could start ragging any time, getting on their nerves
A defense, “let me just go and defend my ass”
In the last, they just end up doin gross
And it’s a disaster, such a bold guy, was he?
To do whatever they ask from him and say: “you called for me?”
Yes I was back… na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na
Set alright, Shirt tucked in and then I was gonna
Enter the den, but ended up in a splutter
Became the center of attention, they began to wonder
That I was very good, the best boy since the comedy king
Unlike the other boys, who were doin the kadalai thing
“hey junior… salute please”
Feel the tension, as soon as someone glares back at me
“Here is the pen, do what ever you feel”
A nuisance, I replied “Can you do it for me???”

Chorus
Now this looks like a joke for me
So all the freshers just follow me
Have the seniors got a lil bit crazy?
Cause it feels never ending around me
I said this looks like a joke for me
So all the freshers just follow me
Have the seniors got a lil bit crazy?
Cause it feels never ending around me

What the hell? Lets get a lit bit serious that I can’t cope with
Any junior who puts ice, that’s it
Mr.Kadalai of orkut, you can get your ass whipped
Worse than the seniors you are, you retard
And TT player? You can get stomped by a slayer
You 18-year-old bell bearer, of course u can’t help me
Lets leave it, you know you can’t, just let it go
Its over… this song is not for u… hell no
But if u want it… just give me a signal
I’ll be there with a whole new full list of insults
I, best hope, that this rap proves to be a nil
Or otherwise I might be turned into a new symbol
But sometimes it just seems
That the seniors wants to frighten me
So this just means, they are fri-ghte-ning
But to me… its just a funny scene
But not all the seniors… are a bit crazy
But the worst thing that they did so lazy
Is to collect money so selfishly
And used it to get themselves wealthy!
Hey! This concept surely works
Out of the thousand seniors, good guys and friends emerge
But no matter, how many turn into a new leaf
It feels never ending around me.

Chorus
Now this looks like a joke for me
So all the freshers just follow me
Have the seniors got a lil bit crazy?
Cause it feels never ending around me
I said this looks like a joke for me
So all the freshers just follow me
Have the seniors got a lil bit crazy?
Cause it feels never ending around me

Ankit Fadia

Posted by Kavin on March 8, 2006

Just before the culturals fever started fading off, there was a guy who gave some relief to the students especially me. It was none other than Ankit Fadia, an ethical hacker well known for cracking security codes. He is just 20 right now. He was called by US Security at his age of 15. Since his visit to my friend’s college two months back(I got the info from the friend himself), I dreamed about Fadia giving us a lecture on hacking. Today it was a dream come true. It was a pleasure having him amidst us for a lecture on hacking computers, mobile phones and ATM machines. He was so simple and his baptizing speech was enchanting and could impress anyone and can tend anyone to hack. He made things look so easy, that the students would think that hacking can be done in a matter of seconds. Though he had to hurry some parts due to lack of time, his speech made everyone think of joining his course on hacking. He avoided using too many technical terms and also avoided letting out too much on the course and not too less. I am sure though the things he thought are not legal, the things he thought will influence atleast a few to take up Network Security as a main career option. Speaking for two hours with no boredom and no tiredness and to keep the audience on the edge of their seats is not an easy job. I hope he will have another session with us… if not I would like to join the course.

Culturavaganza!

Posted by Kavin on March 6, 2006

March 2,3,4 were special days for SSN as the INSTINCTS 2K6 rocked the college. Anna Univ culturals can nowhere be compared to INSTINCTS! We had a whole gala time over there. A surprise visit by Jayam Ravi(actor) for the inauguration opened the door to Instincts. The first day was excellent. The Light Music made me click my fingers and the Variety entertainment made me laugh to tears. The second day was a little boring but the Light Music group finals was extremely amazing. There was a guy from Hindustane college who played Flute very magnificiently and no doubt they won the first prize. The JAM event had a lot of humour(vulgar though) and the speakers were extremely good and it also rocked the 2nd day. The 3rd day was the most awaited day. A bit of entertainment, a bit of service, a bit of dance and a bit of fun was what all it had. My friends decided to start the day off at the auditorium where classical dance was held. The hall was surprisingly full and only later it occured to me that the audience was in for fresh and cool air conditioned hall rather than being in the hot and sultry sun. The Western Dance Group event was great as it kicked off with the WCC(Women’s Christian College) girls. Their uniformity was extremely amazing and their courage has to be really appreciated ;) There was a college which had put up a huge set and danced extremely well and I thought they would bag away the I prize but the final dance by some other college captivated the judge by their amazing tribal dance. But the real end of the culturals was the celebration dance by the students enjoyin their ’spirit of life’ and burning their desires
